"I can see there's a fire in your eyes" main-man Tarek Musa belts with typical agitation from behind his kit. We've been fans of Spring King since their initial outings and they have played their route towards the wide audience they deserve carefully, quite unlike the brilliant, rambunctious music they make. This new one from the foursome - their first release on new home Island Records, out digitally today (11th February) with a physical 7” release set for 25th March - gives us everything we've come to know and love about Spring King: “Rectifier” is a revved-up, fist clenching, head-banging anthem that shouts and glares in the faces of those still on the hunt for a proper UK rock band. There's a fire in the eyes of Spring King and they're not going to let anyone put it out. -G.O'B
